Introduction to Cannabis Insurance
National Cannabis Industry Association's Risk Management Committee recently released a Risk Management and Insurance Manual ~ An Introduction to Cannabis Insurance. The goal of the project, which was co-chaired by S2S Insurance Specialist's Managing Director Eric Rahn, and other leading cannabis industry professionals, is to provide a broad introduction to risk management and insurance coverage for cannabis industry operators.
This manual is the first in a series of insurance manuals that will help guide you through the various coverages and definitions used in the cannabis insurance industry. Cannabis operators must be proactive in developing a risk management program that conforms to local and state compliance and security requirements. As the industry continues to evolve, operators will need to be more diligent in controlling and managing risk. Every aspect of the supply chain contains some portion of risk.
